Kinder-5th grade FAMILY FORMATION FALL OF 2025

A committee of RE catechists, RE parish staff, and parents are taking proactive steps

to improve religious education and make it more engaging for families! Family Faith

Formation (FFF) is such a powerful approach because it recognizes that faith isn’t just

something kids learn in isolation; it’s something that needs to be nurtured in the home

and the parish community. When families are involved in their children’s faith

formation, it creates a stronger, more lasting impact. Therefore like hundreds of other

parishes in the USA, we will be moving to “Family Faith Formation” for our K-5 RE

starting this Fall of 2025. We will have a parish team to help us with this new way of

teaching and formation.

How it will work:

2 times a month K-5 RE will be from 10:15am-11:15am on Sundays at the church

with the entire family (parents and K-5 kids) being taught by our parish team.

2 times a month RE will be taught in the home by the parents with all K-5 or K-8

kids in the family participating. Parents can choose the time/day that works best for

your family! We will make sure our parents feel equipped and ready to help teach

their children the faith.

Parents are and must be the first teachers of their children!

Cost will be only $50 per family and the parish will help with the rest!

Registration will open at the end of July.

CYM AND SHOCK:

CYM (6th-8th grade) will also move to Sunday Mornings from 10:15am-11:15am

and meet in the new 570 Youth House.

High School SHOCK will stay meeting on Sunday evenings.

WH Y  T H E  T IME / D A Y  C H A N G E ?

After multiple conversations with parents, RE teachers and our committee, we decided

that Wednesday night religious education is not the best time for our kids to learn the

faith. The kids are tired after school and it is hard for them to focus after a long day of

learning. For the sake of our kids learning our faith, we needed a change!
